The AGC of America conducts a national survey each year asking contractors about work zone safety regarding their experiences and concerns. In 2023, the top three areas of concern for work zone safety were Aggressive Driving, Distracted Driving and Impaired Driving. By focusing on these driving behaviors, we're encouraging Nevada to do better. Work zone crashes are 100% preventable - if we could just get drivers to slow down, stay sober, and put their phones down.
Aggressive Driving
Aggressive driving, such as speeding and impatience, is a leading cause of work zone crashes and becomes even more dangerous for workers at night.
Distracted Driving
Distracted driving behaviors, including texting and adjusting navigation systems, heighten the risk of crashes within work zones.
Impaired Driving
Impaired driving contributes to a notable percentage of work zone crashes in Nevada, endangering both workers and motorists.
